Gabby - Milwaukee Golden Retriever Photography

Photographing puppies can be difficult. Gabby is a Golden Retriever puppy that definitely had energy however she always managed to sit still just long enough for me to trigger the shutter. I had a blast meeting Gabby and can't wait to see the dog she grows up to be. The word is that she's going to be BIG! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Honey and Phoebe - Brookfield Dog Photography

March in Wisconsin is unpredictable. We had a week of 60 degree days and then an inch of snow the day before Honey and Phoebe's shoot. Luckily the snow melted in a matter of hours and we had a perfect spring evening at the park. Honey is the tan pit bull and Phoebe is the pug. Honey's life story started pretty bad before finding her forever home with two great dog parents. She is as gentle as can be and was in dog heaven at the park with all the sights and smells. Before I met Phoebe she was described to me as a dog that can make a person smile no matter what mood they are in. After meeting her I would have to agree that this description was right on. Thanks Lisa for contacting me to photograph your family. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Dog Details - A Study Of Fur

So to get a much needed creative boost I decided to shoot something completely different.  These are macro shots of dog fur shot with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and Kenko extension tubes.  I would love to hear thoughts, critiques, etc. I may be guilty of this from time to time but anyone who says there isn't anything interesting around to photograph isn't looking hard enough. Get up close, change your angle, whatever it takes to see something a different way. More macro "Dog Details" to come.

High School Senior Portraits - Milwaukee Senior Photography

blog_seniortext The high school senior portrait season is right around the corner! I offer on-location senior portrait sessions that are fun, unique and completely custom. Like my pet photography, an enjoyable experience and amazing final product are my top priorities. As always, I 100% guarantee my work.

Senior Reps Wanted I'm looking for one or two outgoing 2011 seniors (and parents of course) from each of the area high schools willing to spread the word about how much they enjoyed their senior photo experience.

These "Senior Reps" receive: - 50% discount on the standard session fee - Credits for every referral that book a senior photo session. These credits can be applied to your print and product order or an additional summer shoot. - Customized Rep Cards showcasing your photos to help spread the word and earn credits - Facebook Images to show off your new photos

To allow for enough time to spread the word and earn your print credits, the Senior Rep photo shoot must take place before the end of April (an additional summer shoot can be purchased separately). The Senior Rep program is a great way to earn credits toward your print order just by telling others about your experience.

If you or someone you know has a 2011 high school senior in need of some photos please contact me. If you have any questions, would like pricing information or would like to schedule a shoot I can be reached at info@bobprohaska.com or 262.320.7387. More of my work can be seen at www.bobprohaska.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Benji - Milwaukee Lab Photography

Benji was recently diagnosed with an aggressive illness. Photographing sick animals can be emotionally very difficult, however I have found that it's also one of the most rewarding parts of pet photography. This guy was so gentle and happy that I found myself forgetting that he was sick. Thanks Cynthia for contacting me to capture some photos of Benji. He's a great dog!

Liam - Milwaukee Corgi Photography

I have a thing for short, stubby legs after growing up with a Bassset Hound. Pair this with some nice big, pointy ears (like my dog Chloe) and you have a dog I could photograph all day long. Liam is a Corgi set to make an appearance in a national Corgi magazine and in need of a good portrait. According to his mom, Liam was nervous and unnatural when they tried getting photos of him in the studio. Some dogs just need to be outside having fun before they will show their true colors. Liam was one of these dogs because out in the snow (with the help of a ball) Liam was as natural as can be. Anyone who thinks all dogs with little legs are slow has never seen a Corgi run. This little guy can move! Thanks Marggie for contacting me to shoot Liam. He was great!

Butch, Charm, Dewey and Gizmo

This post is long over due. I had the opportunity to shoot a group of four dogs on what turned out to be one of the nicest days this winter. The goal was to get some great shots of the dogs since Butch, the Golden Retriever, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and Charm, the Chocolate Lab, had some recent health issues. The whole group did not disappoint. I had a blast working with all of them. Gizmo, the Bichon, was not a big fan of spending much time in the snow while Dewey, the mix, was a 3 1/2 year old bundle of energy. The late afternoon sun turned out to be amazing and I tried to capture every last bit of it. Thanks Cyndi for letting me photograph your group, I hope you enjoy the photos!

Windy - Wauwatosa Dog Photography

Many of you know my affinity for senior dog photography. Windy was no exception. She is a 17 1/2 year old Yorkie-Poo. For the shoot we got a balmy 5 degree Wisconsin day. As you can imagine I was a little worried about what we'd get for photographs since cold weather and little dogs don't mix all that well. My fears were quickly put to rest as I was able to get some great shots right off the bat. Windy was a trooper! Most of my experience with senior dogs involves the dog staying in one place with me moving around. Windy had other plans. She was constantly on the move and made me work for every photograph. In the end I had a great time photographing Windy. Thanks Beth for the opportunity. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Saydee - Oconomowoc Dog Photography

Saydee is a 12 year old English Sheepdog I had the pleasure of photographing prior to the holidays. The photo shoot was a gift to Saydee's mom so I held off until now to post any pictures (which was difficult because of how much I liked the photos). For the shoot we managed to get some excellent weather after a week of 0 degree days. Saydee was a great model as you can see from the photos below. Thanks Leslie for introducing me to Saydee. I'm looking forward to hearing how the gift went over.

Sara and Sydney

Besides my dog Chloe, Sara and Sydney (belonging to my parents) are the most photographed dogs on my computer. You may recognize them from my "Dogs" gallery or prior blog posts. We wanted to get some new pictures of the girls for the holidays... so I thought I'd share. Sara (brown/black) is incredibly photogenic. Sydney (black) takes a little more work. However it doesn't take much to get a good head tilt out of either of them. I hope the holiday season has been good to everyone so far. Enjoy it, it will be over before you know. sydneysara1

Snow Photo Shoots

snowshoots
Well like it or not it’s that time of year in Wisconsin. The season’s first big snowfall brings a great opportunity for some photos of your pup. If your dog loves the snow, consider booking a photo shoot with them in their element. Snow shoots are a blast for you and your dog. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a shoot for your pet. The snow is here to stay, might as well enjoy it as much as your dog does with some custom photos.

Pet photo shoots also make great gifts for the animal lovers in your life. Gift certificates are available in any amount. Contact me with questions or to purchase one today.

Giving is Awesome

Giving Is Awesome I was recently introduced to "Giving is Awesome". The premise is simple: think of someone you know who deserves custom photography but can't afford it. Nominate them to win it. Enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling you brought to the world.

So I decided to join in. You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy and through it all had their fearless, furry best friend always at their side. You know someone who is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who's sick or aging pet means the world to them. You know someone who can't afford custom pet photography but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their pet's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom pet photography -- $435 worth, to be exact. It's in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a shoot for them self ($150 value).

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The shoot location must be within 30 miles of Waukesha, WI. Tell me who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my custom pet photography. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself.

* You must e-mail me the full story: bob@allearsphotography.com

Nominations must be in by Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th). I will choose and announce the winner on New Years Day -- get nominating! I can't wait to read all of your entries!

By entering you acknowledge that the winner will not be chosen at random but rather subjectively by All Ears Pet Photography.

Follow All Ears Pet Photography on Facebook (click to visit) or on my blog at www.allearsphotography.com/blog.

Open your heart to someone this holiday season. Give back to someone who's given so much!

Bubba, Jack and Sparky

Meet Bubba (tan), Jack (white) and Sparky (black/tan), three Pomeranians I recently met for a Christmas card photo shoot. Aside from my treat pouch being constantly raided by Jack (you can't blame him for going right to the source), everyone did a great job. I could have photographed these guys for hours. Although Christmas card photos were one of the main priorities, we managed to get outside to do some ball fetching and chasing. It always amazes me how fast some little dogs are. Little or not these guys had big personalities and were not easily intimidated (even when I opened up my 60 inch umbrella). Which is great considering they are all from Pomeranian rescues. It goes to show how well they have been cared for. Thanks Dawn and Carl for introducing me to the guys. Enjoy the photos! Bubba Sparky Jack Bubba and Jack Bubba, Sparky and Jack
